Compensation and benefits packages include:

  • Annual salary (hiring range): $50,000 - $55,000 (subject to the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications and skills), plus annual Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) bonus.

About the Role

We're seeking a proactive and passionate Client Services Representative to provide administrative support to our Client Advisory Services Team (CAST) and our clients. The position will report to the Manager, Sales Support Team.

Through listening, problem solving and offering solutions, this role will be critical in helping to build, enhance and protect client relationships. You will also proactively identify sales opportunities, including cross-selling to other divisions within Educators Financial Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiating contact to engage proactively with clients/prospects through various communication channels, to begin or expand on existing relationships using existing contact programs.
  • Taking inbound calls with a focus on helping clients when they need us most, by responding empathetically to a variety of questions, assisting with financial solutions, and resolving client concerns at first point of contact.
  • Building a positive rapport and maintaining client relationships while working independently and as part of the team.
  • Providing centralized administrative support to Certified Financial Planner professionals and/or Senior Financial Advisors including but not limited to, preparing files prior to submitting to the compliance department, scheduling and confirming appointments, and compiling client meeting documentation.
  • Preparing and submitting documentation of financial/non-financial transactions, ensuring accurate completion and timely processing.
  • Processing trades inbox and incoming client instructions while managing risks by adhering to compliance routines, processes, and controls to protect client.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of client services experience, ideally in a financial services or sales environment.
  • Completion or working towards completing the CSC or IFIC certification.
  • Post-secondary education in financial services or a related discipline.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts to meet clients' needs within business operating hours.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Bilingualism is an asset.
