privately backed financial services firm
is hiring a
Controller, Brokerage
to support a regulated Canadian broker-dealer. This role will own core financial controls, regulatory reporting, and daily operational oversight, working closely with senior leadership during a period of expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Canadian regulatory finance, including
    CIRO reporting, Form 1 filings, MFRs, and capital monitoring
    .
  • Oversee daily reconciliations, settlements, and client asset controls.
  • Ensure compliance with segregation, margin, custody, and financing requirements.
  • Prepare IFRS financial statements and support audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Partner with operations, compliance, and external service providers.

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance;
    CPA preferred
    .
  • 5–7+ years in broker-dealer finance or regulated financial services in Canada.
  • Hands-on experience with
    CIRO / IIROC reporting
    and capital frameworks.
  • Comfortable operating in lean environments with high ownership.
