Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team for OVERNIGHT SHIFTS. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by supporting their daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or manager.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or senior care is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dementia care and hospice care practices is a plus.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued.
  • Strong caregiving skills with an emphasis on patient care and empathy.
  • Ability to perform cleaning tasks as part of maintaining a safe living environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
  • Physical ability to assist clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when required.

Pay: $18.84-$19.47 per hour
