The Role

Reporting to the Head of Institutional & Strategic Partnerships, the Client Portfolio Manager will be instrumental in further strengthening our external distribution partnership with CI Global Asset Management, ensuring Munro Partners is positioned as a manager of choice across their investor client base.

Based in Toronto, you will collaborate closely with both the Canadian front-office team and the global headquarters in Melbourne.

Responsibilities

Sales Enablement & Relationship Management

  • Equip CI's sales teams with high-quality training, materials, talking points, and product insights.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to CI wholesalers to support confident, effective client conversations.
  • Participate in joint adviser meetings, roadshows, conferences, and webcasts.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with the Munro Canada team and key Melbourne stakeholders.

Product & Market Expertise

  • Translate complex global equity themes, portfolio updates, and market dynamics into clear, client-friendly narratives.
  • Monitor global equity markets, competitor offerings, regulatory shifts, and adviser behaviour trends.
  • Identify market changes and emerging opportunities relevant to Munro's product suite.

Data-Driven Insights & Reporting

  • Track client facing activity, pipeline trends, wholesaler engagement, and adoption across CI's network.
  • Prepare regular reporting for internal stakeholders and CI counterparts.
  • Use insights and analytics to refine distribution strategies and prioritise adviser segments.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to inform product positioning and distribution tactics.

About You

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, high-performing client facing investment professional with a deep understanding of and passion for global equities and investment management.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 5 to 10 years' experience in investment management, primarily focused on sales, marketing, client portfolio management or product support across public equities.
  • Proven experience meeting and exceeding AUM growth targets.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or designations (MBA, CFA, CAIA or equivalent) are highly desirable.
  • Deep knowledge of global investment markets, including equities, and understanding of investment processes and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex investment concepts and strategies to a diverse audience.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess data and market trends.
  • A proactive, ownership mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
  • The ability to work autonomously in a satellite office while staying connected to a global team.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across Canada
  • Bilingual (English and French) preferred
