The ideal candidate will be fluent in Italian and possess a strong background in senior care, nursing home experience, or working with individuals with disabilities. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, medication management, and ensuring their comfort and safety while fostering a respectful and supportive environment.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Administer medications accurately according to care plans
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors and individuals with disabilities
  • Support clients with dementia care, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
  • Assist with mobility and transfers to prevent falls or injuries
  • Document care activities and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals
  • Support clients in participating in recreational activities to promote mental and physical health

Qualifications

  • Fluency in Italian is required; proficiency in English is preferred
  • Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, medication administration, and working with people with disabilities is advantageous
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent caregiving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or similar credential is preferred but not mandatory
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to work flexible hours as needed
