Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the company's financial operations. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team and utilize a range of accounting software and tools to maintain the integrity of financial data.

Duties

  • Prepare and review account reconciliations, including bank and general ledger accounts.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Conduct auditing procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
  • Process payroll and ensure accurate recording of payroll transactions
  • Preparation of T1 and T2
  • Preparation of HST Returns

Requirements

  • Experience with accounting and CPA firm.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles including account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping practices
  • Good communication skills
  • Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred;

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 – 9 per week
