As a Chemical Technologist Co-op Student, within our Irving Blending and Packaging lab you will be responsible for assisting with the testing of our Raw Materials, Finished Products and Used Oil Analysis Samples.
In this role you will work alongside 5 Technologists while you perform routine quality control testing. This testing will include viscosities, titrations, and sample preparation. You will be part of the Lab Team at Irving Blending & Packaging which falls under our Sales and Marketing Operations team. The Irving Blending & Packaging plant sits on the Courtney Bay Causeway.
Responsibilities:
Follow and adhere to all instructions, including work procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety requirements.
Perform analysis on new and used oil, including viscosity, titration, elements, and other used oil analysis testing.
Prioritizing multiple tasks related to area of responsibility while meeting timelines.
Assisting with Product Retain Retention.
Your Skills:
Technical and soft skills required to complete the tasks outlined under your responsibilities.
Technical language & programs needed to complete role.
Ability to work within a team environment and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail.
Problem solving skills.
Your Experience:
Must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be returning to school.
Currently enrolled in Chemical Technology.
