TDG Transit Design Group is seeking an organized individual with strong attention to detail to manage day to day production functions. Qualified candidates will have 8-10 years of manufacturing experience. This position will involve various duties such as: production scheduling, supervision and technical knowledge of production assembly. Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.

General Duties:

  • Responsible for plant efficiency and productivity
  • Production scheduling and management
  • Supervising a team to meet corporate targets and goals for production and sales
  • Recruit and conduct performance evaluations of production employees
  • Training employees to meet customer and corporate demands
  • Responsible for meeting production quality standards
  • Update KPI's and all other ISO documentation
  • Preventative maintenance scheduling with vendors and internal
  • Improve and Maintain 5S working environment
  • Weekly meetings with senior management to discuss productivity levels

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum eight - ten years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in an ISO environment/ISO auditor would be considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with supervising 20+ employees
  • Mechanical and Electrical assembly experience an asset

Special Skill Requirements

  • Lay out and execute Production Schedules
  • Must be able to work with a diverse workplace
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Able to communicate with other departments (design, engineering etc.) to ensure on time delivery of the product.
  • Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and regulations

Education Requirements

  • Post Secondary education in a technical field would be an asset
