You will partner with internal stakeholders, translating design drawings and construction technical details, to build effective spaces that serve members and elevate staff performance. You will also mentor other PMs as the subject matter expert on project management, design drawings, and construction management.This is aFull-time, Permanentrole based atVancity head officeand will report directly to theSenior Manager, Workplace Strategy and Capital Projects. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demandsHow You'll Make An ImpactLeading cross-functional teams (e.g. business leaders, subject matter experts, and/or third-party resources/vendors) through the end-to-end project delivery lifecycle to achieve business objectivesOverseeing and managing the work of design, construction, and trade vendorsPlanning and delivering complex programs/projects within scope, budget, time and expected benefits while following the appropriate Vancity PMO methodology and guidelinesFostering relationships with Sponsor(s) and senior stakeholders to ensure business needs and initiative deliverables/outcomes are in alignmentProactively mitigating and escalating issues for joint resolution with REFP and Business stakeholdersPresenting at the Steering Committee/to Senior Leadership and address expectations and concerns through clear communication and pro-active follow-upsCoaching, mentoring, motivating and supervising project team resources, influencing them and their teams to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.Contributing to the improvement of project/program management best practices across the enterprise and help drive consistency, transparency and execution on projectsReviewing and interpreting lease agreements, tracking key dates, and ensuring timely renewals or terminations.Liaising with landlords, legal, and internal stakeholders to negotiate lease terms and support occupancy planningMaintaining lease documentation and supporting strategic decisions related to space utilization and portfolio optimizationWhat You'll Bring To The TeamUndergraduate degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Business, Construction, or TradesMinimum 5 years of experience managing large capital projectsExperience managing CCDC contractsPMP and CMP certificationsStrong people leadership skills to engage and support teamsAdvanced problem-solving and decision-making skillsExcellent administration skills and attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExtra Skills That Set You ApartExperience mentoring or developing project managers within a corporate environmentFamiliarity with hybrid workplace strategies and coordinating distributed teamsKnowledge of sustainable design, construction standards, and environmental best practicesYou'll Thrive Here If You AreCommunicative – You use your interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate project deliverables and collaborate across teamsDetail-Oriented – You're attuned to micro details while keeping sight of the big pictureCurious & Innovative – You stay up to date on industry trends and are future-focusedResults-Oriented – You're a self-starter who overcomes obstacles and delivers quality outcomesPeople-Focused – You build strong relationships and develop highly engaged teamsWe value lived experience, so if you are interested in this role, we encourage you to apply even if you feel your skills don't perfectly align with those listed.What You'll EarnThis role offers a salary range of$81,200 to $122,000 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity.
