Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role, based in Toronto, ON, with some opportunities for remote work. The Senior Internal Auditor will independently conduct internal audits, including planning, execution, and reporting, to evaluate the bank's operational and financial controls. Responsibilities include preparing detailed audit reports, analyzing financial data and processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing recommendations to improve systems and controls. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in preparing and presenting Audit Reports with demonstrated ability in detailed documentation.
  • Excellent Analytical Skills and the ability to assess financial and operational data critically.
  • Solid understanding of internal audit principles and experience conducting operational and risk management audits
  • Effective Communication skills for collaboration across teams and delivering actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency with audit tools, compliance standards, and risk management frameworks.
  • Relevant certifications such as CAMS, CIA, or CISA are considered an asset.
  • Proven industry experience in banking, financial services, or internal auditing is preferred.
