Role Description

Shirazi House is seeking a full-time Host to join our team at our Vancouver, BC location. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for welcoming them warmly and ensuring an exceptional dining and cultural experience. Your daily tasks will include greeting guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, and assisting with special events as needed. Additionally, you will collaborate with team members to deliver outstanding service, maintain a positive atmosphere, and uphold the values of hospitality that Shirazi House prides itself on. This is an on-site role that requires active engagement with guests and staff.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Customer service experience, with the ability to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to coordinate and assist with food and beverage service in line with Shirazi House's high standards.
  • Sales experience or aptitude to promote and recommend menu items or services to guests.
  • Experience with staff training to maintain service consistency and excellence.
  • A passion for hospitality and a genuine interest in cultural exchange and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a dynamic hospitality environment.
