MatchBox Consulting Group is in the hunt for a contract professional. This candidate will be responsible for advanced contract management across high-complexity construction and engineered-supply projects. The role ensures contracts are executed safely, on budget, on schedule, and in alignment with public-sector procurement standards. This position supports project teams through oversight, risk mitigation, financial tracking, and supplier performance management.

1 year

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full lifecycle of complex contracts, including scope oversight, change management, claims/disputes, progress payments, schedule tracking, and close-out.
  • Monitor, validate, and report on contract performance, financial indicators, and supplier compliance.
  • Provide guidance on contracting strategies, scopes, specifications, RFx documents, and final contract packages.
  • Advise project teams on procurement approaches, risk mitigation, cost optimization, and contract interpretation.
  • Maintain stakeholder and supplier relationships through communication, issue resolution, and reporting.
  • Support budget management and work package alignment to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for vendor management improvement and optimized contract spend.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of progressive contract management experience with high-complexity contracts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder-influence, and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with crown corporations, government procurement, utilities, or technical/engineering environments is an asset.
  • SCMP-PMAC, IACCM, or PMP certification (full or partial) considered beneficial.
