Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in preparing and maintaining a clean, efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will assist with meal preparation, food handling, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to recipes and standards
  • Support cooking activities under supervision, ensuring quality and presentation
  • Help with food handling, storage, and sanitation to maintain cleanliness and safety
  • Prepare ingredients such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning vegetables or other items
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas throughout shifts
  • Support serving staff by delivering prepared dishes or assisting with plating when needed
  • Follow all food safety protocols and hygiene regulations diligently
  • Assist in inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of shortages

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen safety standards
  • Ability to handle food safely and maintain high hygiene standards
  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a busy kitchen setting
  • Willingness to learn new skills related to food handling and meal preparation
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting moderate loads (up to 25 pounds)
