Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Student Optician to join our team This is an excellent opportunity for an opticianry student to gain hands-on experience in a professional optical environment. You'll work under the supervision of licensed opticians and optometrists, assisting with eyewear selection, fitting, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with frame selection and lens options
  • Take accurate measurements (PD, segment height, etc.)
  • Learn and assist with lens edging and eyewear adjustments
  • Maintain product displays and stock levels
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to the optical team
  • Help with administrative tasks (e.g., patient files, billing, appointment booking)

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an Opticianry program (1st or 2nd year)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and eager to learn
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Basic knowledge of optical terminology and products is an asset
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
