What can you expect in this role?

Reporting to the Manager, Deskside & Support, the Co-op Student supports new and existing systems and technology for Economical Insurance. The Summer Co-op works in a team environment to deliver a high quality of customer service and technical support with a focus on response and resolution to support business operations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Technical support and troubleshooting of hardware, software and application issues.
  • Resolving incident and request tickets from the Service Desk.
  • Installing, upgrading, maintaining and decommissioning hardware and software
  • Deploying client hardware
  • Service and support of printers and multi-function devices.
  • Scheduling, supporting and troubleshooting video conferencing.
  • Collaboration with third level for technical analysis and problem resolution.
  • Diagnosis and investigation to identify underlying root cause.

What you bring:

  • Working towards a university degree/college diploma in a technology, business or related discipline
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability related to both hardware and software
  • Some lifting of computer equipment may be required (approximately 40 lbs)

The hourly compensation for the role starts at $22.50 per hour and will increase based on factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, and the recommended rates as set by the respective educational institution.
