The Speech Language Pathologist assesses and treats resonance, speech and language disorders of children ages You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and will communicate and review findings with relevant disciplines.

Here's What You'll Get To Do

  • Assess and consult with children who have neurogenic speech, voice or language difficulties following surgery, epilepsy, stoke or trauma
  • Be responsible for verbal and written reporting
  • Work with interdisciplinary team and take part in family meetings, rounds and education

Here's What You'll Need

  • Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario
  • Previous experience in paediatric speech language pathology, more specifically in the area of neurogenic speech, voice or language difficulties following surgery, epilepsy or stroke and trauma required
  • Previous experience at SickKids an asset
  • Excellent skills in the areas of verbal and written communication, problem-solving, time management and evidence-based clinical practice
  • Ability to relate to children and families
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of issues related to linguistic and cultural diversity
  • A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity & inclusion

10 month contract 0.6 FTE
