About this opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager, Preventative Maintenance, the Senior Preventative Maintenance Planner will develop and implement maintenance strategies to mitigate the risk of equipment failure. The planner will be accountable for the development and sustainment of the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program. This includes collaborating with the asset-based teams to actively manage the spare parts, PM plans, task lists, and items to optimize the strategies for maximize reliability, efficiency, and safety. This position will require occasional travel to site.
What you'll do:
- Develop, improve, and standardize site-specific preventive maintenance programs for new facilities and major expansions, closing PM gaps and developing template recommended practices and aligning with SCE Performance Standards.
- Apply Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) tools and processes to develop risk-based asset management strategies for new facilities and major expansions.
- Provide equipment reliability expertise, including criticality assessments, vendor technical bulletin implementation, and development of equipment Bill of Materials and critical spare strategies for process equipment.
- Validate and improve maintenance job plans in collaboration with field technicians, supporting work planning, scheduling, and execution improvement initiatives.
- Support SAP PM utilization through development of job aids, training materials, KPI dashboards, and management of maintenance and reliability master data change processes.
- Assist facilities with equipment specific criticalities associated with operational process equipment.
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Journeyperson Trade (Electrician, Instrumentation, Millwright) registered or eligible for registration with SATCC, AAIT, or Red Seal Interprovincial Standards Program OR Engineering Degree or Engineering Technologist registered or eligible for registration with APEGA or ASET
- Minimum 12 years of planning and/or maintenance and reliability experience in oil and gas

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments
For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate
