Web Content Specialist

Brandt Corporate services is currently looking to fill a Web Content Specialist role in our Regina, SK location. This role is temporary.
The Web Content Specialist is responsible for the creation and maintenance of website content for products and promotions, maintenance of Brandt websites, developing and collaborating to create the visual presentation, layout and functionality of the website, and the overall website experience. Marketing strategy for online tactics and new applications will also be a part of this role. This role will also serve as a web advisor to the Brandt marketing team, and reports to the Manager of Web Content.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with and collaborate on establishing web style guidelines, templates, designs, and standards to ensure consistency with brand image and content standards.
- Optimize, improve, and create web features, designs, and functions.
- Ensure the website is easy to use, and the information is easy to access.
- Track, plan, and optimize data-driven improvement initiatives, proposing and contributing ideas for pages, promotions, user journeys, designs, content, or site sections during strategy planning and performance discussions
- Ideate and brainstorm with various teams to create the best possible website experience.
- Work with marketing team to ensure online advertisements are linking and measured correctly on website.
- Create and implement personalization, personas and website user journey strategies.
- Create and acquire content for new products, programs, promotions, divisions, and new web layouts while maintaining consistent branding.
- Conduct keyword research, identify and leverage organic opportunities, and optimize on-page SEO. Implement SEO strategies, optimize existing content, create new content based on keyword research, and track/report outcomes.
- Work with marketing team members in updating news, testimonials, events, and company locations.
- Manage new, discontinued, and existing product information to ensure content is up to date.
- Work with business stakeholders to determine product information and development needs, documenting requirements in clear and easy-to-understand language.
- Monitor & maintain schedule for all web and design work with various vendors, technology staff, and marketing.
- Assist in the testing of website development initiatives.
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with multiple stakeholders, including content contributors and reviewers, graphic designers, and web personnel.
- High degree of design and computer literacy.
- Proficient with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and Google Data Studio.
- Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices, strategy, and tracking.
- Proficient in managing CMS platforms, Kentico and Drupal a plus.
- Ability to develop and implement data-driven digital experience strategies to meet business goals.
- Expertise in mapping and optimizing customer journeys across digital touchpoints to enhance user engagement.
- Proficiency in using web analytics tools to interpret user behavior and inform UX/UI improvements and content strategies.
- Experience in analyzing user flows and implementing strategies to increase conversions and user engagement.
- Ability to design and implement personalized website experiences based on user behavior, personas, and segmentation.
- Ability to conduct research on competitors and market trends to identify opportunities for digital growth.
- Strong understanding of web design principles, responsive design, and user interface standards.
- Ability to use HTML and CSS for website troubleshooting and content formatting.
Required Experience
- Degree or Diploma in a related field (e.g., Digital Marketing, Web Design, User Experience Design, or a related discipline) or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
- 4+ years of professional experience in digital marketing, digital experience management, web design, or a related field.
- Proven experience developing and implementing data-driven website digital strategies to enhance website performance and achieve business goals.
- Hands-on experience managing and maintaining websites using Content Management Systems (CMS), with a preference for Kentico and Drupal.
- Direct experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and Google Data Studio for performance tracking and user behavior analysis.
- Experience in SEO strategy development and implementation, including on-page and technical SEO optimization, with a preference for SEMRush.
- Demonstrated expertise in customer journey mapping and improving user engagement across digital touchpoints.
- Experience in conversion rate optimization (CRO), analyzing user flows, and implementing strategies to increase website conversions and engagement.
- Proven experience designing and executing personalized website experiences based on user segmentation, personas, and behavioral data.
- Experience conducting competitive analysis and market research to identify digital growth opportunities.
- Practical experience applying web design principles and managing responsive design for optimal user experiences.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for website troubleshooting, content formatting, and collaborating with development teams.
