Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Parts Person to join our team In this vital role, you will manage inventory, assist with procurement, and ensure the smooth flow of parts and supplies essential for automotive and trailer repairs. Your expertise will support our technicians and contribute to our reputation for exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through diligent stock management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing parts in the warehouse.
  • Assist customers and technicians by locating parts quickly using order management systems and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software.
  • Manage procurement processes by sourcing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, negotiating prices, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to identify parts requirements for repairs and maintenance jobs.
  • Oversee shipping & receiving operations, ensuring proper documentation and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing parts.
  • Support warehouse management activities by operating forklifts safely, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Enter data accurately into CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and other inventory control systems to track parts movement and usage.

Skills

  • Experience with heavy-duty service, heavy duty body repair environments.
  • Proficiency in Fullbay and MS Excel will be counted as an asset.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to automotive diagnostics, equipment repair, or dealership experience.
  • Excellent negotiation skills for supplier management and pricing discussions.
  • Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, logistics, demand planning, and inventory control practices.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on communication and teamwork.
  • Data entry accuracy combined with attention to detail in inventory management tasks.
