Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated General Labourer to join our team and support shallow utility installation. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and eager to learn. This position offers valuable hands-on experience and opportunities for growth within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist crews with the installation of shallow utilities for power and telecommunications.
  • Perform general labour duties such as digging, trenching, backfilling, and site cleanup.
  • Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Operate hand tools and small equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow directions from supervisors and foremen to complete assigned tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (Class 1 or 3 an asset).
  • Reliable transportation to and from work sites.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive team attitude.
  • Construction or shallow utility experience is an asset but not required.
  • Safety certifications such as First Aid, WHMIS, and Ground Disturbance are considered assets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00-$22.00 per hour
