Executive Director - Métis Nation of Fort Providence
The Métis Nation of Fort Providence is entering an exciting new chapter - with a newly elected Board and leadership team, we're looking for a strong Executive Director to help guide our Nation forward.
This role is about more than administration. It's about working with our people, supporting our new leadership, and helping build a future rooted in Métis values, culture, and self-governance.
About the Role:
You'll work closely with the new Board of Directors to carry out the Nation's vision and priorities. You'll manage programs, apply for funding, and represent the Métis Nation in meetings and partnerships. You'll also help strengthen our internal systems and support the day-to-day operations of the organization.
What You'll Doing:
- Supporting the new Board and helping implement their strategic direction.
- Managing programs that reflect our community's needs and values.
- Writing proposals, managing budgets, and reporting to funders.
- Building relationships with governments, partners, and other Indigenous organizations.
- Representing the Métis Nation of Fort Providence in public and political spaces.
We're Looking for Someone Who:
- Has experience working with Indigenous communities or non-profits.
- Understands Métis culture, governance, and community priorities.
- Can manage finances, write proposals, and stay organized.
- Is a strong communicator and team leader.
- Believes in the power of community and Nation-building
Pay:
Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
