Research and Innovation Coordinator
Location:
Victoria, BC (On-site)
Hours:
8am - 4:30pm (Monday to Friday)
Compensation:
$60,000 - $75,000
About Us
Muniworth is building the next generation of tools that help local governments make informed, efficient, and transparent decisions. We're developing systems that streamline workflows, improve governance, and empower municipal staff to focus on what really matters - serving their communities.
Our current product, delivered via Waterworth, is the leading SaaS platform that empowers local governments to build financially sustainable futures. Municipalities across North America already rely on us for financial forecasting of their utilities.
The Role
We're now looking for a high-energy Research and Innovation Coordinator with a foundation in business, government, and administration, and a heart for public service.
This role is not "Administrative Support" - which is typically limited to scheduling meetings, taking notes, and filing documents. We take a hands-on, proactive approach to helping our team and municipal partners move projects forward. You'll be directly involved in organizing research, tracking insights, maintaining clear documentation, and ensuring that every idea leads to meaningful progress. We drive action, and (as appropriate and desired) play an active role in keeping our projects, partners, and priorities on track.
Key Responsibilities:
Project and Pilot Support:
Assist with pilot programs, product testing, and outreach initiatives that strengthen local government decision-making. Coordinate schedules, track milestones, and document pilot and testing feedback to support product improvement and overall project success.
Research, Outreach and Pipeline Management:
Coordinate research interviews, partner outreach, and pilot communications. Schedule meetings, prepare summaries, and track follow-ups while maintaining accurate records of proposals and partnerships. Conduct baseline or comparative research to support product and policy development.
Governance and Regulatory Tracking:
Monitor privacy, data and related regulations affecting local government operations. Maintain a concise tracker of relevant updates and assist with internal policy documentation to support compliance and best-practice awareness.
Documentation and Communications Support:
Maintain clear, organized project documentation, including structured PVA records, templates, and diagrams. Proof, format, and prepare professional materials, presentations, and visual summaries for internal and partner use, ensuring consistency in tone, accuracy, and accessibility.
Interdepartmental Coordination and Follow-Through Support:
Support communication and coordination across departments to keep information flowing and projects aligned. Assist with updates, reporting, and decision logging to maintain transparency and momentum across teams.
Requirements
Organized and Detail Oriented:
You've studied and/or practiced accounting or finance, and you're excited to apply that knowledge to real-world challenges in public sector contexts.
Reliable Collaborator:
You work well across teams, supporting communication and coordination between departments. You understand the value of clear updates, good documentation, and timely follow-through.
Curious and Research-Minded:
You enjoy digging into details, conducting interviews, and connecting insights from multiple sources. You're comfortable synthesizing findings and assisting in product testing to support continuous improvement.
Mission-Driven:
You believe in the power of technology and collaboration to help communities work smarter. You're motivated by meaningful work that supports transparency, innovation, and better decision-making in the public sector.
High-Energy Team Player:
You bring enthusiasm and initiative to everything you do, and you're ready to contribute to a culture that's fast-paced, ambitious, and fun.
Benefits
Downtown Office & Friendly Atmosphere
Join our young, growing team in a 100% in-person office that promotes innovation and fun. Enjoy regular socials, BBQs, office pets for morale, a ping pong table, and free snacks, creating an enjoyable work environment.

Our skilled team empowers communities across North America to take control of their futures, making a genuine difference in hundreds of lives.
