We are seeking a motivated, efficient, and highly organized dispatch supervisor to join our growing team of professionals. To be successful in this position, you must manage multiple priorities, be an excellent negotiator, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact at various levels within the organization, as well as directly with clients and carriers. You must also have 2 years of management experience in freight brokerage dispatch.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Dispatcher located in Georgetown, ON. The Dispatcher supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and managing the schedules of drivers, ensuring the timely and efficient transport of goods. Duties will include maintaining communication with drivers, handling customer inquiries and complaints, planning routes, and using dispatch software to track and update delivery statuses. Additionally, the Dispatcher supervisor will manage the workload within the team and be accountable for the team's performance.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in scheduling, route planning, and using dispatch software
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Management experience in freight brokerage dispatching
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or training in logistics or transportation management is a plus
