Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of caregiving services. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering support in daily activities and ensuring a clean and safe environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others and have experience in various caregiving settings such as assisted living, hospice care, or home care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients, ensuring a safe environment.
  • Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
  • Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
  • Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction.

Experience

  • Previous experience working in caregiving roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with senior care practices, including assisted living and nursing home environments.
  • Knowledge of hospice care principles is a plus.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely when assisting clients.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential for success in this role.
  • Must have a drivers license/own a vehicle.
