YOUR ARC 
As Senior Technical Designer, you will work closely across disciplines to design, implement, and own the innovative, fun features and tools for our game. This role will involve designing and implementing prototypes, and the development of multiple gameplay and mission features at final quality. This role requires close collaboration with other disciplines to shape the vision of the project, as you integrate features with other facets of the game and iterate towards a cohesive overall experience Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and own features related to modular gameplay and mission component creation   
  • Utilize creative, scripting and technical skills to add new features to existing systems   
  • Champion and implement efficient and effective tools and workflows for other developers   
  • Contribute to amazing and fun gameplay experiences that support the narrative and the themes of the IP through collaboration with the broader team   
  • Define, document, and share best practices related to the creation and usage of gameplay features and assets   
  • Actively mentor creative and technical abilities of team members   
  • Champion efficiency and optimization in all aspects of development  
  • Participate in game design discussions and contribute valuable ideas and feedback to all aspects of the project   
  • Support the team through collaboration with various other design, art, programming, audio, animation, and UX developers  
  • Remain current with new and innovative technologies, proactively incorporating and improving pipelines and processes    
  • Listen to feedback from stakeholders and translate it into actionable plans when appropriate. 

Qualifications and Experience 
  • 5+ years' experience as a Senior Technical Designer in professional game development shipping multiple AAA titles   
  • An expert level of experience in Unreal 4/5 and Blueprints   
  • Experience with coding languages such as C++ is required  
  • Experience with asset inheritance & modular workflows  
  • Experience with 3Cs, abilities, combat encounters, AI, and everything related to moment-to-moment gameplay  
  • A strong understanding and focus on player experience and accessibility   
  • Familiarity with gameplay mechanics in action/adventure/RPG titles   
  • The ability to explicitly define and communicate solutions to complex gameplay, workflow, and technical problems   
  • Self-motivated, with proactive communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with team members and help where needed.   
  • A passion for utilizing gameplay to build incredible memorable experiences

  • We offer 3 weeks of vacation per year in addition to summer and winter studio breaks that are each two weeks long. 
  • The hiring range for this position is $113,988 – $214,200 in addition to a bi-yearly performance-based bonus. The base pay may vary depending on the candidate's region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
