Job Overview
We are a small family owned company seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of various electrical components. This role requires a understanding of blueprints and schematics, as well as proficiency with both hand and power tools. The Journeyperson Electrician will work on a variety of projects, including renovations and installations in residential, commercial, and small industrial settings.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with local codes and regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform low voltage wiring for various applications as required.
- Renovate existing electrical systems to improve functionality or comply with updated standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage applications and control systems.
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and safety equipment used in electrical work.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues effectively.
- Previous experience in renovation projects is a plus.
- A valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent certification is required.
- Experience operating equipment, e.g. scissor lift, bucket truck, excavator, skid steer is welcomed.
- Must have a valid Drivers license.
