Plastics Product Development Chemist

In this position, you will have the opportunity to:
- Manage customer projects, from the formulation of plastic compounds to their continuous improvement
- Develop and optimize formulations
- Be the go-to person for knowledge management on polymers and the technical characteristics of target markets
- Support sales teams in new product development, technical support, and customer problem solving
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement or development with customers (e.g., cost reduction, performance improvement, sustainable development, volume increase)
- Conduct research on new raw materials and participate in technical negotiations with suppliers in collaboration with purchasing
- Act as a technical liaison between the customer and various internal functions
- Provide technical support to production and quality assurance
- Handle non-conformities and follow up on experimental tests
- Actively participate in working groups or continuous improvement projects

With the following skills and qualities, you'll be successful in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or polymer science
- 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in the plastics industry (formulation, processing, extrusion, injection, etc.)
- Autonomy, rigor, and ability to manage projects comprehensively
- Analytical mind and ability to make decisions quickly
- Attention to detail and sense of innovation
- Scientific curiosity, ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies or materials
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively
- Bilingualism (French and English) in order to communicate with our partners; Spanish is an asset
