AI LLM Developer

We're looking for Applied Machine Learning Specialists with deep expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and Agentic AI. This role is ideal for builders—not traditional data scientists—who thrive in designing and deploying production-grade AI systems.

You'll work on cutting-edge use cases such as:

• Automating the evaluation of financial statements
• Reading and interpreting unstructured data (documents, images)
• Building intelligent agents and chatbots
• Developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines

Location: Toronto, Montreal, London, Ottawa.

Work Mode: Hybrid 4-days/week on-site; 1 day / week - remote

Status: Contract 

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement LLM-powered agents for enterprise automation
• Build and optimize RAG pipelines using vector databases and embedding models
• Fine-tune LLMs for domain-specific tasks in financial services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into scalable applications
• Explore aspects of model governance, explainability, and ethical AI practices

Qualifications: 

• 5+ years in applied ML or AI development
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, Generative AI, and agentic frameworks
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, LangChain)
• Experience with vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Strong understanding of unstructured data processing (PDFs, images, scanned docs)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with chatbot development and multi-agent orchestration
• Exposure to financial services workflows or compliance automation
• Knowledge of MLOps, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Certifications in cloud AI platforms
• Familiarization with tools and methodologies for LLM evaluation (toxicity, hallucination, factuality)
