We are recruiting an experienced
Design Release Engineer
to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.

NOTE:

  • Onsite
  • Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
  • Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development and validation of the automotive HVAC compressor and A/C lines
  • Ensure the components meet performance objectives and will coordinate development with other functional areas such as powertrain, BIW, Aero/Thermal, Engine Cooling and suppliers
  • Writing source packages, specifications, requirements, change notices and overall supplier management to meet program timing and deliverables
  • Maintain a component and sub-system DVP&R, support and keep up to date with component bench testing, simulation, drive-cell and static cell test results as well as perform data analysis and establish proper corrective actions as required
  • Lead virtual team to design and perform CFD and FEA analysis for components to meet performance
  • Support pilot and pre-production build process at the assembly plant for development and installation of AC line and compressors

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university
  • 1-3 years of experience in HVAC compressors and/or A/C line design/development. Other related design experience (Engine cooling, Aero-Thermal) also a plus.
  • Very good knowledge about Unigraphics NX and CATIA
  • Strong PC + MS Office skills required. Excellent written, verbal and listening skills and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter and motivated to produce results
  • Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
  • Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)
  • Basic thermodynamics knowledge

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in e-compressors, chillers, EV components are a plus.
  • Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS).
  • Basic knowledge in Thermodynamics.
  • Automotive assembly plant experience.
  • HVAC system engineering knowledge.
  • Previous experience as an AC line design and release engineer.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $35.00 – $39.00 / Hour (depending on experience)
  • Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
  • Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
