We are recruiting an experienced
Design Release Engineer
to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.
NOTE:
- Onsite
- Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
- Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development and validation of the automotive HVAC compressor and A/C lines
- Ensure the components meet performance objectives and will coordinate development with other functional areas such as powertrain, BIW, Aero/Thermal, Engine Cooling and suppliers
- Writing source packages, specifications, requirements, change notices and overall supplier management to meet program timing and deliverables
- Maintain a component and sub-system DVP&R, support and keep up to date with component bench testing, simulation, drive-cell and static cell test results as well as perform data analysis and establish proper corrective actions as required
- Lead virtual team to design and perform CFD and FEA analysis for components to meet performance
- Support pilot and pre-production build process at the assembly plant for development and installation of AC line and compressors
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university
- 1-3 years of experience in HVAC compressors and/or A/C line design/development. Other related design experience (Engine cooling, Aero-Thermal) also a plus.
- Very good knowledge about Unigraphics NX and CATIA
- Strong PC + MS Office skills required. Excellent written, verbal and listening skills and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter and motivated to produce results
- Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
- Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)
- Basic thermodynamics knowledge
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in e-compressors, chillers, EV components are a plus.
- Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS).
- Basic knowledge in Thermodynamics.
- Automotive assembly plant experience.
- HVAC system engineering knowledge.
- Previous experience as an AC line design and release engineer.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $35.00 – $39.00 / Hour (depending on experience)
- Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
- Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
