GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Junior Accountant is responsible for assisting with the timely preparation and processing of financial information and a wide variety of other accounting duties. As well this position requires strong communication skills, and a customer service focused mindset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area (6S)

· Participate in the CLMW Safety program as required

· Performing day to day transactions including posting Supplier Invoices

· Reconcile vendor accounts

· Processing outgoing payments via EFT and Cheques

· Monthly Journal Entries as required

· Reconciling and managing bank, credit card accounts

· Maintain payable filing

· Reconcile accounts receivable aged report on a monthly basis

· Prepare daily bank deposit and process payment receipts in the accounting system

· Assist with collections

· Reconcile assigned GL accounts and assist with month end preparation

· Provide general information to clients and the public

· Perform other tasks required

REQUIREMENTS:

· Accounting diploma or equivalent work experience required

· Proficient in administrative services

· Combination of experience and education is acceptable

· Knowledge of Sage 50 (Simply Accounting) and MS Office applications would be an asset

· Proficient with computer and office equipment use

· Excellent communication skills

· Strong organizational skills

· Excellent time management skills

· Excellent team spirit to accomplish final goals and work cooperatively with others

· Flexibility to work on various products and tasks

· Flexibility to work overtime as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
