The Executive Council Office is the centre of excellence for the Government of Yukon. We are leaders in the modernization of government standards and processes.
We provide central strategic advice to advance government priorities through policy development, communications, intergovernmental relations, Indigenous relations, major project management, youth initiatives, Indigenous and scientific knowledge and by supporting the Water Board and the Commissioner's Office. The department also provides direct support to the Premier and Cabinet.

The Executive Council Office's Communications branch is looking for someone to join the team as a senior communications advisor. If you're detail oriented, with strong communication skills and high standards, this could be a great opportunity for you to grow and develop new skills in a central agency role. You'll love this role if you enjoy providing advice on high-profile initiatives, supporting peers across government and advancing projects that improve quality and efficiency in our communications.

Essential Qualifications
- A degree in communications, journalism, political science, or a related field;
- Considerable experience developing and implementing communications and public engagement strategies;
- Considerable experience writing for various audiences and media;
- Considerable experience providing communications advice and strategic direction, preferably within a government setting; and
- Considerable experience dealing with complex and strategic issues within a communications context.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
