Toric Optometry & Optical is hiring a Part-Time Retail Optical Associate/Optician to join our growing eyecare team in Mississauga, ON. Our clinic provides comprehensive eye care, including routine eye exams as well as specialized services such as myopia control, dry eye therapy, and specialty contact lenses.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing individual who enjoys working with people and is passionate about patient care. Experience in the optical or optometry field is required, and new optical graduates are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional, personalized customer service in a welcoming retail environment
  • Ensure every customer is greeted in a warm, professional, and sincere manner
  • Assist patients in selecting appropriate frames and lens options based on prescription, lifestyle, and style preferences
  • Educate patients on lens features, coatings, and eyewear options in a clear and approachable way
  • Build strong relationships with patients to encourage loyalty and repeat visits
  • Use company tools to manage client interactions, follow-ups, and daily sales activities
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient store operations
  • Perform office and administrative duties including emails, phone calls, and communication portals
  • Licensed opticians will perform optician-specific duties as required

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of optical retail experience
  • Sales experience is considered an asset
  • Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to address patient concerns professionally
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills with patients and colleagues
  • Passion for optics, eyewear, and luxury products
  • Licensed Optician is an asset
