About The Role
We're seeking a QC/QA Specialist to lead day-to-day quality control and quality assurance activities at our Windsor, Ontario facility. This role supports ADM's commitment to producing safe, high-quality products by ensuring compliance with food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
The QC/QA Specialist plays an integral role in supporting the site's Quality and Food Safety programs, conducting routine inspections, performing analytical testing, leading investigations, and supporting continuous improvement across all operational areas. This role serves as a key partner to plant leadership and acts as backup to the facility QFS Manager.
*What You'll Do*
- Support all facility safety, environmental, and quality initiatives
- Conduct routine GMP, Food Safety Plan/HACCP, and GFSI (SQF) compliance inspections
- Perform verification checks related to processes, sanitation, procedural compliance, personnel performance, and product quality
- Collect samples and perform analytical testing as required
- Assist with root-cause investigations for quality deviations, rejections, and nonconformities
- Communicate findings and corrective actions to facility management
- Provide guidance on sanitation methods and chemical usage
- Conduct pre-operation inspections after maintenance or sanitation activities
- Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions affecting food safety
- Assist with developing and delivering training programs, and evaluating training effectiveness
- Troubleshoot and perform maintenance, calibrations, and validations on lab equipment including HPLC, GC, IC, Karl Fischer, and titrators
- Ensure analytical testing for in-process and finished products is completed accurately and efficiently
- Act as backup to the facility QFS Manager

- Perform other duties as assigned
*What You Bring*
- Experience with lab instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, IC, Karl Fischer, titrators, and basic analytical equipment (preferred)
- Experience in a food safety or FDA-regulated environment (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb stairs, work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and walk throughout all levels of the plant
- Availability for 24/7 phone technical support and occasional emergency call-ins
*Education and Experience*
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline preferred
