Transportation Co-op (8 months)

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is looking for a highly motivated and independent individual to assist the Transportation division from May to December 2026. Reporting to the Manager of Transportation, the individual will be assist with the delivery of various road maintenance inspection and report activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to technical and field staff.
  • Collect transportation field data.
  • Deliver project communications / notices to area residents.
  • Storm water collection inspections and vector control field monitoring.
  • Site inspections of asset repairs and following up with departments on repair needs.
  • Preparation of sketches, plans, etc. for assets as well as constructed information and the preparation of presentations, taking meeting notes, updating database / excel sheets, and creating memos.
  • Assist with records management.

Competencies & Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in a post-secondary Civil Engineering Technology/Technician, Construction program (or equivalent).
  • Experience with GIS would be an asset.
  • Possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, project/time management, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to promote a culture of inclusiveness and work with a diverse population of employees, participants, agencies, and the public.
  • Valid Ontario class "G" Drivers license in good standing.
  • Own or willing to purchase safety footwear as a pre-condition of employment.
  • Able to submit a successful Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check as a pre-condition of employment.

The hourly rate for this position is $ rates) per hour.
