WHY CALGARY AIRPORTS
Powered by heart and dedicated to excellence, we're the team that keeps Calgary connected – and you could be our newest member.
We're in the business of uplifting people, and every day, we create runways to new places and possibilities, building a better airport experience for everyone.
What's The Team Like
This is a high-impact, behind-the-scenes crew that keeps the airport humming. We're the planners, the facilitators, the puzzle-solvers - balancing airline schedules with infrastructure realities to keep operations smooth, efficient, and future-ready. We're collaborative, detail-oriented, and thrive on making data-informed decisions that support long-term growth. If you love connecting dots, forecasting demand, and working with diverse stakeholders, you'll feel right at home.
What Are Some Of The Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning and analysis of flight schedules and airport capacity.
- Evaluate infrastructure and maintenance projects for their impact on terminal and airside operations.
- Run facility capacity studies and simulations to optimize resource use.
- Collaborate across teams and with external partners to align schedules with operational constraints.
- Guide and support scheduling team members, especially during seasonal coordination.
- Monitor slot usage and contribute to strategic airline engagement.
- Support long-range planning and scenario modeling using specialized tools.
- Contribute to air service development initiatives with capacity assessments and documentation.
What Do You Need To Bring
- You'll need to be eligible to get a RAIC, don't worry – we'll help you through this For more details, check out: (RAIC Program and Application Information).
- A high school diploma.
- 6–8 years of experience in airline and/or airport operations, with a strong background in schedule planning or long-term resource planning.
- Proficiency in planning and simulation software to assess capacity impacts of capital and maintenance projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing airport resources such as gates, check-in counters, baggage systems, and terminal facilities.
- Strong data analysis capabilities, including forecasting passenger demand and resource utilization using quantitative/statistical methods.
- Experience with airport infrastructure, operational planning, and regulatory environments (e.g., TP 312, IATA WASG).
- Working knowledge in forecasting tools or statistical software used for demand and capacity modeling.
WHAT OPTIONAL ELEMENTS SUPPORT YOUR APPLICATION (all Are Assets)
- Bilingual in English and French.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline (e.g., Urban or Transportation Planning, Aviation Management, Business Administration, Data Science/Analytics, or equivalent).
What Does Diversity Mean To Us
We are committed to building a team where exceptional leadership shines and our crew thrives both at work and at home. We believe that deliberate steps such as creating a workplace that is physically and psychologically safe, equitable to all, and actively and diligently taking steps along the path to reconciliation are the keys to making this a reality.
OUR VALUES
We prioritize genuine concern and compassion for everyone we engage with, from our team members to our partners and guests, always striving to help and support one another.
We actively seek diverse perspectives in our decision-making and collaboratively tackle challenges.
We work together with trust and transparency, supporting one another to achieve the collective goals of our organization.
We grow, evolve, and adapt with purpose, continually aligning our actions with our vision.
We embrace curiosity and boldly challenge the status quo, exploring new opportunities and taking thoughtful, responsible risks that drive purposeful innovation.
