Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Care Assistant (CCA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, and hospice settings. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being through various caregiving tasks. This is an Agency job for independent CCA.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
  • Provide patient care in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring the highest standards of support.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any changes in health status.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of living spaces, including light housekeeping duties.
  • Support residents with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when required.
  • Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in resident conditions to nursing staff.
  • Foster a safe environment by adhering to all health and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care is preferred.
  • Knowledge of senior care practices, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Compassionate attitude towards caregiving and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to caregiving, including heavy lifting as needed.
  • Experience in meal preparation and medication administration is a plus.
