The Client Case Worker acts as an access point for residents into the broader spectrum of housing, employment, substance abuse treatment, medical, and community mental health systems in Victoria and elsewhere. The Client Case Workerworks in consultation with the program manager to plan, develop, and implement client programming and activities. This role is expected to provide the program manager with ongoing client case management updates, and to maintain accurate and complete client files and notes.

To succeed, you will have an excellent understanding of the issues faced by our client group. This includes experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds who face multiple barriers, such as substance use, mental health concerns, low incomes, and negative impacts of colonialism and racism.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in a related human or social services field.
  • Two (2) years of direct service experience working in a program with:
    • Vulnerable populations.
  • Client-centered case management.
  • Creating and implementing case plans.
  • Collecting and reporting program data and maintaining client files.
  • Program development and facilitation.
  • Linking individuals to various housing and treatment programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships following harm reduction principles.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check.
  • Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clear driver's abstract.

Job Information

Hourly Wage Rate: $ $33.49

Work Location: 535 Ellice St - Rock Bay Landing

Shift Time: 8:15 AM to 7:00 PM

Schedule: Thursday to Sunday

Weekly Hours: 40
