A well-loved bakery franchise from Pakistan known for our fresh cakes, pastries, and traditional sweets — is opening our first Calgary location We're hiring a Full-Time Kitchen Staff member who's passionate about cooking, baking and creating delicious products for our customers every day.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and dependable full-time Kitchen Staff Member to support daily operations in our Pakistani bakery opening soon. This role is essential in helping our baker and head chef prepare fresh baked goods, savoury items, and other menu offerings. The ideal candidate is friendly, hardworking, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the baker and head chef in preparing baked goods, savoury snacks, and daily menu items
- Prepare and measure ingredients as instructed
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work area at all times
- Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment throughout the shift
- Assist with end-of-day closing duties
- Properly store food items and follow all food safety guidelines
- Help with basic kitchen tasks such as portioning, packaging, labeling, and organizing inventory
- Unload and stock deliveries as needed
- Assist with setting up workstations and equipment at the start of each shift
- Support the team during busy periods and contribute to a positive work environment
Qualifications:
- Weekend availability is required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation
- Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player
- Previous kitchen experience is an asset, but not required
- Ability to stand for long periods
