Cooperative Education - Communications Student

The Corporation of the Town of Tecumseh is currently recruiting for a highly motivated individual to fill the Cooperative Education - Communications Student position in our Technology & Client Service department.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager Customer Service, the Cooperative Education - Communications Student role will be responsible for working with the Communications Officer with day-to-day activities related to corporate website and social media channels, updating branding guide, creating themed videos and organizing photos\graphic libraries.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • The successful candidate will be enrolled in the field of Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Marketing or related field.
  • The successful candidate must have an in-depth working knowledge and experience in various software applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Applications (Acrobat Professional, Photoshop, InDesign), Video editing software and previous experience with Content Management Systems.
  • Candidates with video editing and creation along with videography experience including post-production is considered an asset.
  • The ideal candidate will have exceptional professionalism, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Candidates will have a strong work ethic and a valid G Driver's License with access to a vehicle.
