Recreation - Long Term Care - Permanent Part-Time

The Village of Ridgeview Court has an exciting opportunity for a Recreation Team Member to join their team. 

• Status: Permanent Part-Time
• Location: The Village of Ridgeview Court; 545 Dymott Ave, Milton, ON L9E 2C9
• Expected Start Date: Mid-February

The hiring rate for this role is $22.59 per collective agreement/employee association agreement.

As a new Recreation Team Member you will: 

• Hold a diploma or degree recreation/leisure studies and/or gerontology from a community college or university
• Work every other weekend 
• Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members

As a new Recreation Team Member joining our Village Team it would be an ASSET but not required for you to having the following:   

• Skills Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to support a holistic recreational program
• Experience facilitating group activities and programs
• Proficiency documenting residents' participation, engagement and holistic wellbeing in programs and 1:1 activities 
• Have exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team
• Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents
• Knowledge of the five domains in Therapeutic Recreation that contribute to an individual's health
• Knowledge of recreational therapy practices, methods, techniques and opportunities to improve resident's well-being and holistic health
