British Columbia Golf is seeking a
Director, Marketing & Communications
to help shape the voice, brand, and digital future of golf in BC during a period of meaningful transformation.

This is a senior leadership role for a strategic, values-driven marketing and communications leader who understands sport, storytelling, and community impact.

About BC Golf

BC Golf is the provincial governing body for amateur golf in British Columbia. We work collaboratively with clubs, facilities, partners, and communities to grow participation, strengthen the game, and ensure golf is welcoming, inclusive, and sustainable for future generations.

As we advance a renewed strategic plan and modernize our governance, technology, and member engagement, this role will play a central part in how we connect with the golf community across the province.

The Role

Reporting to the CEO and serving on the Senior Leadership Team, the Director, Marketing & Communications leads BC Golf's:

  • Brand and storytelling
  • Marketing and communications strategy
  • Digital ecosystem and audience engagement

You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to support participation growth, strengthen member engagement, and enhance BC Golf's reputation and impact.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing, Brand & Communications

  • Lead integrated marketing and communications strategies aligned with BC Golf's mission and strategic plan
  • Steward the BC Golf brand, messaging, and reputation
  • Oversee communications across website, email, social media, and digital platforms
  • Develop annual plans with clear objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics

Digital & Audience Engagement

  • Oversee digital platforms including websites, CRM, analytics, and email marketing tools
  • Use data and insights to improve engagement, segmentation, and ROI
  • Continuously improve digital performance and user experience

Partnership Support

  • Support partnership and sponsorship initiatives through storytelling, activation, and brand alignment

Leadership & Organizational Contribution

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Marketing & Communications team
  • Manage budgets and resources with accountability and impact
  • Contribute to organizational change initiatives and senior leadership priorities
  • Prepare reports and insights for leadership and the Board
  • Represent BC Golf at championships and industry events

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of progressive marketing and communications experience, including people leadership
  • Strong strategic, digital, and analytical capabilities
  • Experience working with Boards, senior leaders, and diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Understanding of sport environments, with experience or strong familiarity with golf as a sport and recreational activity
  • Experience supporting sponsorship or partnership activation is an asset

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range:
    $80,000–$100,000
    , commensurate with experience
