Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Assembler to join our Edmonton facility. In this role, you will assemble equipment according to engineered drawings and established procedures while maintaining Weatherford's high standards of quality and safety. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced oil and gas equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to Weatherford's Security, Compliance & HSE policies, Management System, and Rules to Live By
- Promote Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and Environmental protection as core values
- Perform mechanical assembly of components under direct supervision
- Assemble equipment per engineered drawings or instructions
- Inspect completed components for accuracy and functionality
- Maintain an organized work area and care for company-supplied tools
- Operate hand and power tools, as well as overhead cranes
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and report issues clearly
Qualifications
Experience & Education
- 1–2 years of assembly or manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Previous experience with rubber molding or rubber injection manufacturing processes is desirable
Skills & Abilities
- Good verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence in English
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity for operating tools and equipment
