You must be able to reach for excellence, be a compassionate early childhood educator, display empathy, be trustworthy and willing to be empowered

We are currently hiring a Part Time Educator and on call supply educators at our Little Willows by Kids & Company Webster's Corner location.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain documentation, reporting and record keeping
  • Implement a Reggio Emilia approach to learning
  • Support children's emotional, physical, or behavioural well being; while helping to develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills
  • Maintain attendance, and health and safety checks
  • Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as necessary
  • Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms
  • Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops

Specifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, parents and co-workers.
  • Ability to utilize computer systems for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations
  • Strong collaborator and team player
  • Ability to take initiative in and out of the classroom
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • British Columbia ECE License
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Valid Standard Child Care First Aid and CPR
  • Immunizations up to date
  • Ability to push, pull and lift up- to 45 pounds
