Role Description

We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician for a full-time, on-site role located in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia. The technician will handle electric motor inspections, testing, maintenance, and repair operations, ensuring quality and precise workmanship. Responsibilities include analyzing equipment for faults, rewinding electric motors, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing assembly and disassembly of components, and maintaining accurate service records. Collaboration with team members and adherence to safety standards are fundamental aspects of the role.

Qualifications

  • Experience with inspection, testing, and repair of electric motors and related components
  • Skills in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to perform assembly, disassembly, and rewinding of motors
  • Familiarity with safety standards and procedures within industrial environments
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate service records and documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Relevant certifications or training in electro-mechanical systems and repair
  • Prior experience in motor rewinding and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards is an asset
