Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive systems. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operations across various sectors including construction, agriculture, and transportation. Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed diagnostics using schematics, electrical testing tools, and mechanical knowledge to identify issues with automotive systems.
  • Maintain and repair transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspensions, and steering components with precision.
  • Execute welding, fabrication, tire service, and assembly tasks using power tools and hand tools to restore equipment functionality.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems including soldering connections and replacing faulty wiring or components.
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignment and adjustments.
  • Document all repairs and maintenance activities accurately while adhering to safety protocols and operational standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex machinery issues.
  • Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and metalwork.
  • Knowledge of engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, and tire service.
  • Ability to operate power tools safely while performing heavy lifting tasks as required.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience for diagnosing electrical faults effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with team members and clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
  • Knowledge about the forklifts is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
