Overview

Jack Fence and Post is seeking a versatile and experienced "Jack of all Trades" with a strong background in post hole digging and fence building. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set in construction-related tasks, including carpentry. Candidates should be detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

  • Dig post holes accurately using hand tools and power equipment to specifications.
  • Construct and install fences according to project plans and schematics.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure precise execution of tasks.
  • Perform carpentry duties such as framing, cutting, and assembling fence components.
  • Apply caulking, painting, or restoration techniques to improve the durability and appearance of fences and related structures.
  • Assist with installation of plumbing or welding tasks as needed for specialized fencing projects.
  • Use construction tools effectively, including drills, saws, levels, and other hand tools.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in post hole digging and fence building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, carpentry, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, plumbing basics, flooring installation, tile laying, and construction painting is preferred.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to different tasks as needed.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials and working in various positions for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation or means to travel between job sites; valid driver's license is a plus.
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to quality workmanship and safety compliance.
