By bringing together people from diverse perspectives, experiences, and communities, we ensure innovation, collaboration, and the highest standards in software quality assurance.

We are actively looking for an HR Partner focused on People & Culture with proven experience in career coaching, reconciliation education, and inclusive workplace advocacy.

The People & Culture - HR Partner plays a key role in supporting Indigenous employees throughout their journey at PLATO-from training to full-time employment. This national role focuses on identifying and addressing potential challenges that may impact engagement, retention, and well-being. With a strong background in coaching and employee advocacy, the HR Partner provides tailored guidance, mentorship, and strategic cultural support to help individuals thrive in their careers.

This role also supports broader diversity and inclusion efforts, ensuring all employees feel valued and respected. The ideal candidate has 5-10 years of experience in human resources with a strong focus on career development, holds a CIHRP designation, and brings lived or professional experience in reconciliation and community engagement.

What you'll do
Responsibilities
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with Indigenous employees to support their workplace experiences, professional development, and well-being.
  • Deliver one-on-one and group career coaching sessions with employees, creating career plans and supporting development goals.
  • Provide culturally relevant guidance, and facilitate access to internal/external resources for career growth, personal wellness, and life transitions.
  • Collaborate with the training department to assess cohort readiness and support successful transitions into employment.
  • Liaise with HR, Training, and Leadership teams to advocate for inclusive and culturally safe practices.
  • Lead or co-lead internal ERGs (Employee Resource Groups), providing structure and leadership support for employee-led initiatives.
  • Act as a reconciliation educator by facilitating training, leading awareness discussions, and advising on culturally responsive policies and programs.
  • Deliver cultural awareness sessions for managers and teams to promote understanding of Indigenous experiences in the workplace.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, Indigenous organizations, and external partners to support employee development and cultural connection.
  • Support PLATO's diversity, equity, and inclusion goals across all communities and employee groups.

What you'll need
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience in Human Resources, with a significant focus on employee coaching and support.
  • Demonstrated experience in career coaching, talent development, or HR advisory roles.

  • CIHRP designation (Certified Human Resources Professional).

  • Experience as a reconciliation educator or facilitator.

  • Proven ability to chair or lead Employee Resource Groups or similar employee-led networks.

  • Experience mentoring and coaching in both professional and community settings.

  • Identification as First Nation, Métis, or Inuit is strongly preferred; deep knowledge of Indigenous cultures and lived experiences is essential.

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Indigenous Studies, Social Work, or a related field-or equivalent experience in Indigenous workforce support and advocacy.
