Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Front of House Manager to join our team at Smitty's in Selkirk. This role is crucial in ensuring our guests receive outstanding service and that our dining area operates smoothly. As a Front of House Manager, you will play a key role in upholding our commitment to community engagement and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure a seamless dining and lounge experience.
- Provide hands on training and coaching for new and existing team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment..
- Lead, Motivate, and support restaurant and lounge staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain food quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages team engagement.
- Executing promotions and contests with staff and it is followed through to the guests.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and overall service quality.
- Conduct pre-shift walk arounds to identify tasks that need completion and maintain a clean organized and welcoming front of house environment at all times.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or similar role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Familiarity with POS systems (Squirrel POS preferred).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience in restaurant serving, cooking, bartending and asset.
