Overview

R&D Plumbing and Heating is currently seeking motivated 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Year Gasfitters to support our expanding operations in Lloydminster. These roles are pivotal in delivering field-level installation, maintenance, and service work across our residential, commercial, and industrial client base. We are looking for individuals who bring developing technical competencies, a strong safety mindset, and a disciplined work ethic aligned with our long-standing service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of natural gas and propane systems under Journeyperson supervision.
  • Support project execution through basic blueprint, layout, and schematic interpretation.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Work on low-pressure and high-pressure gas systems while adhering to all regulatory and internal safety requirements.
  • Participate in HVAC and mechanical support activities associated with gasfitting operations.
  • Conduct routine system checks, flag potential issues, and escalate findings when required.
  • Maintain safe work areas and follow all established procedures and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Registered 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Year Gasfitter Apprentice.
  • Foundational understanding of gasfitting codes, installation practices, and safety standards.
  • Competence with hand tools, power tools, and gasfitting-specific testing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow direction and execute tasks accurately.
  • Ability to interpret basic technical drawings and schematics.
  • Mechanical aptitude; HVAC experience considered an asset.
  • Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces per project requirements.
  • Dependable, safety-focused, and committed to supporting project timelines and quality outcomes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.60-$48.78 per hour
