Job Description:

Key Responsibilities 

SHUNT DRIVER DUTIES:

  • operate shunt truck to move trailers within the yard
  • communicate with shipping personnel to ensure efficient movement of trailers
  • report any issues or damages to trailers

  • Completes routine service on trucks, which may include checking fluids, fuel, and air. Reports all maintenance issues and malfunctions.

  • Assists with loading or unloading of products or materials, using specialized equipment when warranted. Unloads empty pallets and returns all equipment to designated area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • maintain and contribute a safe and clean work environment
  • follow safety regulations
  • other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • possesses at least 3 years of relevant experience operating tractor trailer or spotter truck
  • good physical stamina and manual dexterity
  • good organizational and time-management skills
  • solution oriented problem solver

Compensation Range:

The pay for this position is $20.00 per hour. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
